High speed - high precision machining center is
operational.
Noranco has purchased and installed two new
Mazak PFH-5800 horizontal milling machines to add to its production
capabilities. The machines incorporate 2-Pallet changer that significantly
reduces setup time for small lot production. The machines are
capable of accepting work piece dimensions 31.5 x 39.37 inches and up to
1543 kg in weight. Each machine is equipped with high speed 15,000
RPM spindles that can accelerate to its maximum speed in 1.4 seconds.
"Adding this advance technology equipment
to our plant will allow us to reduce lead times and to provide parts of
unsurpassed accuracy to our customers'", stated Bernardo Sztabinski CEO of
Noranco.
